RandomX

A CPU-friendly algorithm used by Monero and others.

RandomX is a proof-of-work algorithm designed to run best on general-purpose CPUs, which helps keep mining decentralized and resistant to specialized ASICs.

It is the algorithm behind Monero and several CryptoNote coins. GPU coins such as Pearl (pearlhash) and Quantus (QPoW) use different algorithms.
