Common questions
One flat fee on the blocks the pool shares out and one on the blocks a solo miner keeps. Both current figures are shown live on the pool statistics; they are deducted automatically from rewards, and there are no other charges.
Automatically every hour, as soon as your confirmed balance passes the minimum payout. Payments are non-custodial and go straight to your own Quantus (qz…) wallet.
No. There is no account and no KYC. Your Quantus wallet address is your login, and you keep full control of your coins the whole time.
Yes. Add the solo prefix to your address to mine for whole blocks instead of shared rewards. Solo has a fee of its own, shown live on the pool statistics beside the pool fee.
Servers span Europe, the Americas and Asia. The connect guide auto-selects the lowest-latency region for you, with a dedicated route for ISP-blocked countries.

What are zero-knowledge proofs? What a zero-knowledge proof is, why it is quick to check, how Quantus wormhole addresses use it for private transfers, and what it means for miners.
Common questions
Quantus is secured by Quantum Proof of Work (QPoW), built on the Poseidon2 hash. The pool sends your miner a job, your GPU searches for nonces, and every result that meets your share difficulty is submitted as a share and checked before it counts. The network aims for a block about every 12 seconds.
A recent NVIDIA or AMD graphics card. The GPU benchmarks on the About Quantus page rank the cards measured on Quantus by hashrate and by efficiency. There is no ASIC for Quantus.
Quantus addresses in the SS58 format, which start with qz. The pool checks your address at login and tells you if it is not a valid Quantus address.
Every Quantus transaction is signed with ML-DSA, the signature scheme standardized through the NIST post-quantum cryptography program: ML-DSA-65 by default and ML-DSA-87 for a higher security level. These are designed to stay secure against quantum computers.
No. Wormhole addresses are an optional privacy feature of Quantus that uses zero-knowledge proofs for private transfers. On HeroMiners your payouts go to the Quantus address you mine with.
Each block pays the unmined supply divided by 50,000,000, plus the transaction fees in that block. The maximum supply is 21 million QTC and 73% of it is mined, so the reward started near 0.31 QTC and shrinks slowly with every block. There are no halvings and no developer tax.
The same port, 1155, serves both. Use stratum+tcp:// for a plain connection or stratum+ssl:// for an encrypted one.
Yes, prefix your wallet address with "solo:" when connecting. In solo mode you receive the full block reward (minus the pool fee) for blocks you find yourself, but with much higher variance than pool mining.

Where mining is allowed, and how the income is treated Most countries neither welcome nor ban mining: they price it, license it or make the banking awkward. Hashprice: the one number that says what your hashrate is worth What a unit of hashrate earns per day, where the number comes from, and why it moves when you have changed nothing at all. Hashrate marketplace vs mining pool: which one actually pays you A pool pays you in outcomes and a marketplace pays you a rate. Same hardware, different product, and a different risk each way.
Common questions
We take your hash rate as a share of the whole network, multiply by the blocks found per day and the reward, then take off the pool fee and, if you enter them, your power cost and miner-software fee. That gives your estimated earnings per day, week, month and year. Change any field and it updates at once.
No. Add each graphics card you run and set how many of each, mixing different models freely, and the calculator sums the total hash rate and power from our Quantus benchmarks. You can still edit the totals to match your own overclock or undervolt.
It is the power price where your earnings exactly cover your power bill. Pay less than that per kWh and you mine at a profit; pay more and you mine at a loss. It is the quickest way to tell if a rig is worth running.
These are estimates, not a promise. Your real payout depends on the pool's luck, your average (not peak) hash rate, and the difficulty, which all move over time. QTC and BTC price swings change the totals too. Use it to plan, not as a guarantee.
Solo mining

Pool vs solo mining: which should you pick? Pool mining pays you small, steady amounts for the whole pool's work; solo mining pays whole blocks, rarely. How to choose between them. Pool luck and orphan blocks explained What block effort and pool luck really mean, why an unlucky streak is normal variance, and what an orphaned block costs the round.
Common questions
When you find a block, you keep the whole reward instead of sharing it with the pool (minus a small solo fee). The catch is luck: you might hit a few blocks in a good week, or none for a long time.
It depends on your hash rate against the whole network. The headline shows the median, the point where you have a 50% chance of a block by then, and the average gap between blocks. Because it is random, long dry spells followed by a sudden win are normal.
There are 100 dots and each filled dot is 1% of your chance of finding at least one block in the selected time. 37 filled dots means a 37% chance. It is a picture of your odds, not a countdown.
Solo fits big rigs and miners who can wait a long time for the chance of a full block. Want steady, predictable payouts? Normal pool mining is usually better, small rewards paid often for your work. Check your odds here first.
